Green Key is a leading international eco-label for tourism and hospitality establishments, providing a robust and esteemed award to businesses operating in an environmentally sustainable way.
The Green Key program is run by the international non-profit organisation the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) who also run the prestigious Blue Flag award for beaches and marinas. In England, Green Key is managed by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
Green Key is endorsed by the World Tourism Organisation, UN Environment Programme and its criteria is recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). The award sets the standard for excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism sector and currently has over 3200 awarded establishments in 65 countries.
