British Guild of Tourist Guides
The Guild is the national professional association for professionally qualified Blue and Green Badge Tourist Guides working throughout the British Isles, including the Isle of Man and Jersey.
Our members offer bespoke guiding in 34 different languages for couples, groups, families or solo travellers across destinations, heritage sites, museums, art galleries etc throughout the UK. Since its foundation in 1950, the Guild has been dedicated to maintaining the highest professional standards of its membership and continues to offer the gold standard in tourist guiding to hoteliers and the travel trade. The Blue and Green Badge is recognised internationally as the qualification of excellence in site and heritage interpretation and in communication skills. It is awarded to exceptional professionals, following extensive training and vigorous examination.
