Strand Palace kickstarts multi-million pound refurbishment

The refurbishment of Strand Palace, one of the largest hotels in London has now officially got underway.

The ground floor of the property, which includes the reception, restaurant bar, and tea room, has just started and should be finished in the summer. Having been fully furnished and decorated, the venue, which boasts no fewer than 785 rooms, is expected to be completed by April 2020. The company hopes the renovation will help to position the hotel as one of the best four-star offerings in the capital.

Trevillion Interiors are at the helm of this project which will marry subtle Art Deco influences with contemporary design.

David MacRae, managing director of the Strand Palace, said: “One hundred and eight years in the making, this new chapter of the Strand Palace is immensely exciting and will truly reflect our grand name.”
